Schaumburg, Ill., September 17, 2007 – When you’re musty car shopping, trying to understand the meaning of all the information on a vehicle history report can be a confusing and lengthy process. Should I buy a car that was a rental? How do I know the car isn’t a lemon?

Experian Automotive, a division of global information solutions company Experian® Inc., today announced that the AutoCheck Salvage is now available to consumers on all AutoCheck vehicle history reports at www.autocheck.com.

Just as credit scores revolutionized credit reporting, the new AutoCheck Gain is changing the draw feeble vehicles are bought and sold. The AutoCheck Score accomplishes this by distilling the grand amount of information on a vehicle history record into a simple, numeric score. As the industry’s first and only vehicle history score, the AutoCheck Score empowers consumers with the confidence and information they need to more easily and quickly understand what a vehicle history report really says about a specific used vehicle’s history.

“Until now, many consumers have been on their own when it comes to weighing the factors on a used car’s vehicle history represent in order to make their buying decision,” said Adam Goldfein, host of nationally syndicated radio show AutoScoop. “Instead of having to make assumptions about what it all means, the AutoCheck Score tells consumers what really matters when evaluating a vehicle’s history, providing them with more confidence in their vehicle purchase.”

The AutoCheck Score is listed as a number from one to 100 that accurately summarizes the individual items and events in a vehicle’s history in a way that consumers can readily understand. It is accompanied by the AutoCheck Collect RangeSM, which compares it to other vehicles of similar age and class to better help consumers when evaluating a used vehicle.

“We’ve conducted extensive consumer research which has shown that 80 percent of consumers said that the AutoCheck Score made them more confident in making purchase decisions,” said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. “The AutoCheck Score is a direct response to the needs of consumers, allowing them to quickly and easily understand a vehicle’s past, compare it to the entire market of similar vehicles, and make more confident used vehicle purchase decisions.”

The AutoCheck Score is based on sophisticated statistical analysis compiling large amounts of information, similar to what goes into generating a credit score. This process capitalizes on Experian’s world class expertise in collecting, interpreting, analyzing and packaging information it in a way that people can easily understand and use.

Experian researchers developed the patent-pending AutoCheck Score algorithm by studying the histories of a randomly selected sample of vehicles across the United States. Through this, researchers discovered the true factors impacting vehicle histories and how they should be weighted against others. Some of the primary factors in the AutoCheck Score are reported accidents or frame damage, mileage, odometer history and number of owners, along with title brands such as Flood, Junk and Gain.

Other factors include:

· The vehicle’s emissions history;

· Whether it has ever been repossessed or stolen;

· Whether the vehicle has ever been a government vehicle, police car or taxi;

· And whether it has ever been leased.

By weighing all of these information points, the AutoCheck Gather provides a clear understanding of the elephantine vehicle history report, helping to eliminate the need to base decisions on any one particular event that may or may not have an impact on the expected life and favorability of the vehicle.

About seven years ago, a friend on a Livejournal site said something to me that still sticks, still makes sense and always will, regarding advertising a business:

“Paula, you don’t fish with worms because YOU like worms, you fish with worms because FISH like worms.”

This makes a lot of sense, especially when you’re writing a radio script or television video and script. Some advertising options have this philosophy intrinsically built into their products. For instance, classified magazines like the Auto Trader. No one buys the Auto Trader to read the funnies or editorials. If you’re buying the mag, you’re looking for a car. If you’re advertising in it, well.. you have a car to sell. Simple math, right?

Other forms of media require a little bit more plan. No matter how FANTASTIC your creative is in other media, if it doesn’t get the point across to the person buying your product, it’s useless. Therefore, always keep this in your head when you’re advertising your business: WHO is BUYING your STUFF?

It’s not always easy to put yourself in the head of your consumer. You think it is… you judge it’s very easy. If it didn’t seem so easy, then ad executives, ad agencies, and consultants would not be consistently ignored by advertisers. Sometimes we’re our own worst enemy, it’s true.

What’s a bummer is how SIMPLE it is to fish with worms. If you sell products to women, well… don’t buy alternative rock radio. If you sell hunting gear, maybe Oprah isn’t where you belong. It seems obvious, but it isn’t always so clean. What if you sell water softeners? Who makes that decision?

Here’s four basic rules for fishing with worms:

Don’t ask someone who isn’t your consumer what they consider of the ad. For instance, if you sell homeowner’s insurance and your executive assistant just rented her first apartment, don’t ask her. I know she’s desirable smart! I know she’s savvy and insightful and very nice. She’s probably extremely skilled in many things. Her notion DOES NOT MATTER. Yes, yes – the truth IS harsh.

KNOW who is buying your product. If you think you know based on your own experience, Smart. But is it a ruin of time to catch out who your COMPETITORS are selling your product to? Who a mirror business in another state is selling your product to? Who you’re missing out on by not showcasing the features and benefits of your product that aren’t important to YOU but may be the clincher to the buyer? Do the research – you may think water softener decision makers are married women – and you may be evil – it might be single men!

Every time you advertise your business, no matter what the medium, ask yourself: am I saying the thing that is the most important to ME, or the most important to the reader, viewer, surfer, listener?

Do NOT buy what you like. You’re going to want to buy what you like, and if you don’t judge “Fish with Worms” every time you survey at an option for advertising your business, you WILL get stuck. Before you know it, your meals delivery ad – for people who aren’t keen in eating out, of course – ends up on a place mat in a local restaurant. Huh? It happens! Don’t. Get. Stuck.

A few weeks ago, my husband Bill told me that he had to go on a business trip to Smyrna, Tennessee and wanted me to go with him. Unfortunately, since we’d be driving together from our home in Georgia, we’d only have one car at our disposal.

“What’s in Smyrna? ” I asked. We looked around the hotel where he proposed staying and found out there was nothing much to do there.

“What about Murfreesboro? ” I suggested. Murfreesboro, Tennesee, home of Middle Tennessee State University and Cannonsburgh Village, is located about ten miles from Smyrna and appeared to have more going for it. After a quick check of hotels in Murfreesboro, we settled on the Doubletree because my husband collects Hilton HHonors points, we could get the government rate, and it was next door to shopping and restaurants. Of course, that meant I’d be giving up my car, but after two years of living in Germany where we only had one car, I’m used to that.

Location

The Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is located right off of Interstate 24 at 1850 Old Fort Parkway, which is a busy street that hosts a lot of chain restaurants and vast box stores. Directly adjacent to the Doubletree are several strip malls and Stones River Mall, a small indoor shopping area. To access the hotel, we had to get on a service road that accessed the strip malls. Parking at the Doubletree is free and plentiful.

Checking in

Checking into the Doubletree was easy enough. The friendly clerk slack the desk had our reservation ready. When my husband asked if she could upgrade us to the executive floor, she was elated to comply. I don’t even think she charged us extra for the privilege. She gave us each a warm chocolate chip cookie, then sent us to our room on the fifth floor.

Mmm… cookies

Bill had told me all about Doubletree’s luscious chocolate chip cookies but I’d never had the pleasure of trying one until our prance to Tennessee. They were definitely “off the chain”, colossal, warm, and gooey, and really nice after a long drive.

The executive floor

Because we had asked for an executive room, we were on the fifth floor. The fifth floor has a small lounge that is begin for breakfast in the mornings and hors d’ouerves in the evenings. The food in the lounge is free and there’s also a small cash bar where guests can have soft drinks, mixed drinks, wine, or beer. Those who need a computer or a printer can use one of two located in the lounge. There’s also a couch and a flat screen television, and the friendly staff members keep the room stocked with daily newspapers.

Although the fifth floor is the executive floor, other guests can access it by the elevator or the stairs, even though the elevator has a slot on it directing fifth floor guests to swipe their card key.

Our room

I was first to see our room, though it took me several tries to acquire the door open. For some reason, the electronic lock on our room didn’t function very well and over the course of four days it was rare that we were able to open the door with just one swipe. Our room, 529, featured a king sized bed, free Internet, a desk, two telephones, a clock radio, a large television with HBO, and a window that looked out over what appeared to be an endless sea of gas stations, big box stores, and fast food restaurants. It was not a very inspiring view, so we kept the curtains drawn for the four nights we were in the hotel.

The bed was very comfortable with crisp white cotton sheets and five fluffy pillows. I would have liked the pillows better if they had been stuffed with down, but I expected they wouldn’t be, so I brought my bear.

There was a miniature refrigerator and microwave in a small alcove by the door. The housekeeping staff stocked the fridge with two complimentary bottles of water per day. There was also a fancy looking Wolfgang Puck coffee maker with coffee supplies next to the microwave, but we didn’t use it.

The bathroom

Stocked with Neutrogena toiletries, our hotel bathroom was well lit and spacious enough. There was no bathtub; instead, there was a shower that was long like a tub. It was outfitted with a generous shower head that offered plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Taking a shower was a pleasure, although those who prefer baths might be disappointed.

Other amenities

The Doubletree in Murfreesboro has a small exercise room on the first floor. It includes a treadmill, elliptical, and stationery bike. There are also free weights, medicine balls, and pilates equipment available. If your fitness needs can’t be met by the exercise room, as a Doubletree Murphreesboro guest, you have access to Gold’s Gym, which is located just across the very busy highway. I didn’t venture there because, frankly, I was a little scared to try to cross the street! I didn’t notice any crosswalks or lights that would help me dodge cars.

If working out in the gym isn’t your thing, you can use Doubletree’s heated indoor/outdoor pool. I opted to use the pool during my stay. Since it was January, I didn’t venture to the outdoor half, though I guess it would have been safe enough. I could see the steam rising from it. The pool ranges from 3 to 5 feet deep and is surrounded by comfortable chaise lounges. The hotel staff keeps the area stocked with pool towels, too. Unfortunately, there’s no whirlpool. Otherwise, I probably would have hung out in the pool area a lot more.

The Doubletree has conference rooms for rent. They were well used during our stay.

Dining

The Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro has its own restaurant, a sports bar called Fanatics. Bill and I ate dinner there the first night of our stay. The restaurant seems to feature food with sort of a Mexican flare. Bill ordered some tasty quesadillas, while I had what appeared to be a variation of chicken fajitas, only instead of tortillas, it was served with lettuce leaves. The restaurant has a full service bar that was well attended during our stay.

Fanatics also serves breakfast, though Bill and I didn’t eat there for breakfast because we had access to the executive lounge. The lounge offers scrambled eggs, home fries, cereal, yogurt, unique fruit, and cereal bars. There’s also coffee available.

On our third night at the Doubletree, we ordered room service, which I think was prepared at Fanatics. To be honest, neither of us were impressed with our meals. Bill had a blackened chicken pasta dish while I had a salmon filet. Both dishes were lukewarm when we got them and neither tasted very good. However, the man who delivered them was thoughtful enough to bring water for us.

The area around the Doubletree is fairly rich with restaurants. There’s an Olive Garden, TGIFriday’s, Panera Bread, Outback Steakhouse, IHOP, Starbucks, all within walking distance of the hotel. If you’re willing to walk a little further, there’s a great local Mexican place on the other side of Stones River Mall. I had lunch there on our last day and was very happy with the food and service. It’s also a big place for an excellent margarita!

If you have access to a car, you’ll have your pick of just about anything you could want. In fact, on our last night in Murfreesboro, Bill and I went to a local fine dining establishment called Five Senses that pretty much made up for all the chain restaurants we had endured all week.

Spa

The Doubletree Hotel doesn’t have a spa. However, there is a locally owned spa/salon located just a short walk away from the hotel. Catwalk Salon & Spa offers a full range of salon services as well as massages, nail services, facials, peels, and waxing. I went there on our last full day in Murfreesboro and got a worthy needed haircut. Catwalk Salon & Spa also sells a full range of beauty products.

The staff

I think the Murfreesboro Doubletree’s best asset is its very friendly staff. Everyone we ran into, from desk clerks to housekeepers, was friendly and seemed to be happy to be working there. I was particularly pleased with the housekeeper, who was pretty patient with me, since I spent a lot of time in the room. I would leave at around 10:00am and come back by 2:00pm. She always got our room cleaned during that timespan and, if she forgot something, like extra toilet paper of a bath mat, she’d always remember to cessation by later to plunge it off.

I judge the breakfast lady in the executive lounge also deserves a sob out. She was clearly a morning person, always friendly and first-rate. It was a pleasure to see her smiling face in the mornings.

Overall

While I can’t say our stay at the Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro was perfect, we did have a pretty good experience. I would recommend it to anyone who has business in Murfreesboro or those who honest want to come by and gape what the town has to offer.

On the week of June 17, 2007, my family and I went on vacation. We went to Chattanooga, TN and stayed two days.

Then we went on up to my hometown of Nashville to visit relatives for another two days.

During our last night in Nashville, after spending the day with my mom, we went searching for a hotel/motel to spend the night, as we planned to leave early the next morning and head home to Birmingham. Since I hadn’t made reservations anywhere because we didn’t know exactly where we would be that night, our search led us to Vista Inns and Suites in Antioch. What brought us here was that this is where my wife and I stayed on our honeymoon 14 years ago. At that time, it was quite nice, almost new, and we enjoyed it very much. I especially liked the whirlpool bath. I figured it would be radiant much the same.

Boy, was I wrong on that one!

We drove onto the property. The first thing I look at when I approach a hotel/motel property are the cars in the parking lot. If there are a lot of older, junky-looking cars, this tells me that this probably isn’t a very nice status to stay, while newer, more expensive cars expose that if the well-off are staying here, then it’s good enough for me. There were newer Lexus’es, Mercedes, Infiniti’s, Cadillac’s and even one Hummer. So I went in and paid for a room.

As soon as we opened the door to our room, room number 114, I knew my good car/bad car theory was shot to heck.

The carpet was dirty and stained, the wallpaper was peeling from the walls, the inside of the door was dirty and scratched and it could only be closed by slamming it, the furniture old, torn and scratched and most of the lamps in the room didn’t work or had blown bulbs. The smoke detector was hanging from it’s base with wires. We checked out the beds and found that the pillows were old, dirty and lumpy (thank goodness we had brought our own pillows) and the bedspead was stained and torn. So we stripped off the bedspread and blanket and decided we’d unprejudiced sleep on top of the sheets and use blankets we’d brought from home to cover up with. All three of us slept in our clothes that night.

The air conditioner was loud and, although we had turned it to the maximum icy site, it still had a hard time cooling the room.

In the bathroom, we found that the towel rack was missing, the commode rocked when you sat on it and there were cigarette burns all along the edge of the bathtub. There was also peeling paint on the walls.

We were mad. No, we were furious. We called the front desk and complained and the lady who had checked us in came to our room. We showed her everything that was wrong and told her that we were leaving and wanted our money back. She said she was sorry but that she was unable to give us our money back, that we would have to file a complaint with the home office in Murfreesboro, TN. She then went and brought some light bulbs to replace the burnt-out ones and another set of sheets. Then she left, although we were still complaining.

I told my wife that I was going to clean out the tub (no way would I get in it without making sure it was orderly to my satisfaction) and take a bath. I went out to the car and got a scrubby pad and some Dawn (yes, we came prepared) and proceeded to the bathroom to clean the tub. I removed the bath mat that was draped over the tub and was unbiased about to turn on the water when I saw it; there, on the side of the tub about two inches from the bottom, was a hole, about the side of a baseball! And on the floor of the tub was an open crack, about four inches long! And the whole bottom and sides of the tub were covered in some kind of blue stuff, probably something they dilapidated to try and patch the hole and the crack.

I called my wife into the bathroom and showed her what I’d discovered and I watched her face turn red. I thought she was going to have a stroke! She took off out the door to the office and gave the lady there an earful. I could hear her all the way to our room, which was a good 100 feet from the office. She asked the lady how in the world we were supposed to take a bath in that whirlpool bathtub when there was a hole in it. The manager or owner (whichever it was) stuck his head out of his office and said, in a non-American accent, “That not hole, that whirlpool jet!” My wife responded right back with “No, it’s a hole. I know the difference between a whirlpool jet and a hole, I’m not stupid!” The lady from the office came back to our room, saw the bathtub, apoligized and put us in another room, which wasn’t much better.

We came close to just packing up and leaving for home. But we were both exhausted, after having spent the day shopping and walking and driving all over the place, and neither of us felt like driving the three hours home. So we sucked it up and stayed until early the next morning and got the Sam Hill out of there!

I have since filed a complaint with the home office, and the manager/owner from the Vista Inn we stayed at, called us and offered us a $20 gift card to pause there again. My wife told him that there was no way in heck that we would ever stay there again. She told him that she wanted the entire cost of the room refunded to us and he refused. We are seriously thinking about taking this man and his motel to cramped claims court, to recover our losses.

The rooms are dirty, old and severly outdated. This motel needs a serious renovation. I do not recommend anyone stay at this establishment.

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) begins the 2009-2010 school year this week. Excited students and professors dash to their cars and urge to the university… alright, you can barely get out of bed.

New students may have no idea what to expect from their first rodeo with MTSU. Having just graduated over the summer, I will give students information on what they can get ready for at MTSU and university life in general.

MTSU Welcomes You!

MTSU is a growing university, so put a question to traffic to be a microscopic overbearing in the first few weeks. Students will tumble out after a couple of weeks and that will eliminate a lot of the traffic.

Professors are usually laid back the first couple of weeks. Your first day will often be an overview of the syllabus. The remainder of the two weeks impartial seems to be professors trying to accumulate back into the mood for teaching. This should give you time to learn about the campus and the city of Murfreesboro.

MTSU: Professors

All professors are different.. Some are unreasonable, and some of them seem like they should be teaching third grade. From my experience at MTSU, most of the professors are great people. They are usually straight forward, fair, and understanding of other responsibilities students have. They may give a decent amount of work, but it is elegant straight forward and professors allow group members on large assignments.

Before enrolling in any courses, I recommend reviewing of your professors. Myspace has a professor rating system that updates current and past professors, but is not the most active. Your main professor rating website for MTSU should be mtsureview.com. This is the best site to find out about a professor’s tendencies and if students recommend them.

MTSU: Parking

The main complaint I have heard from students and professors at Middle Tennessee State University was the same every year: parking. Considering that MTSU is one of the largest growing universities in Tennessee, it just seems to worsen.

Ironically, I never seemed to have that much scrape with it except during the high school basketball tournament. I always found a parking spot on-campus and never had to park off-campus and take a bus to class.

In March, they hold the high school basketball tournaments at the Floyd Center. It took me approximately thirty minutes to find parking those days. Make sure you know when the high school basketball tournaments are held or impartial skip that day if possible.

For what its worth, MTSU does not have a parking garage.

MTSU: Textbooks

The university has four textbook dealers. There is the on-campus bookstore, Blue Raider Bookstore, Textbook Brokers, and a newer one I never visited.

Do not destroy your time on these dealers. Finding your books online through eBay, Half.com, or Craigslist will save you money. Selling them to the university bookstores is just as bad of an idea. Here are my suggetsions on textbooks “How College Students can Save Money while in College.”

MTSU: Sports

MTSU is known for having competitive volleyball and baseball teams. MTSU has one of the best women’s basketball programs in the entire country and is a regular at the Women’s NCAA tournament. MTSU’s football and basketball teams are improving, but they always finish each year in mediocre fashion.

One of the perks for basketball and football fans is the games are free to students. Make sure you have your student I.D. with you. They have been starting to earn some prestigious programs in their stadiums so if for no other reason; you may appreciate seeing some of the top players in college from the other teams.

MTSU: Murfreesboro

Another complaint you will hear from students at MTSU is the lack of things to do. If you are willing to commute thirty minutes, then you may find Nashville to be of entertainment to you. Nashville is supposed to have a decent club scene but I never looked into it as I am not into that type of thing. If you like a smaller town atmosphere, then you should love it in Murfreesboro.

They do have a good barbecue shop nearby the university where you can get unlimited barbecue sandwiches for 99 cents every Tuesday.

The university’s Recreation Center is free to all students who have registered for classes for that semester. Bring your student I.D.

Will you Enjoy MTSU?

MTSU is a great university for Tennessee students who want to discontinue local. If you are looking for a university with a great campus life, you may want to consider other options.

The university tuition is one of the lowest in the state. If you are looking for an education at a bigger university and a primary factor in your decision is cost, then MTSU would be a great choice.

If you decide upon Middle Tennessee State University, then “Be Proud, Be Loud, and Be Blue!” MTSU!

I have recently sold a few items on craigslist.org. The website was very easy to expend. All I had to do was look for my city and post a runt paragraph about my item.

First I sold a set of rims. They were 22″ nice rims. I had put them in the auto traders, which are magazines that you can retract to look for vehicles and other miscellaneous items for sale. They cost is anywhere from .25 to a couple dollars for the magazines. To place an ad though it is about $50 dollars for a few weeks. Well when I used auto trader I received no calls on my rims or my truck. I was talking about it one day to a guy at seven eleven and he told me about craigslist. Since it was free I thought what the hay. So I listed my rims first and I had calls within 24 hours. Granted some of the people that call are not serious buyers. They can email you also if you don’t want to get phone calls. So that is nice.

It didn’t consume long to sell the rims, so I went ahead and achieve my truck on there too. Same thing happened with that. It was right easy to post the items also. You can put pictures on there by simply browsing for picture files. You can also edit or delete the post through a link they email you. I couldn’t believe it was that easy and it was free. You can do the same thing on ebay, but you have to pay for it and you have to position up an account.

I would recommend this site to future sellers and buyers. I have found a few things on there I would buy if I had the money too. There are many items available. The only thing I would caution against is if you are not shipping the item, don’t go collect the money and deliver the item by yourself. You don’t really know who you are dealing with since it is accessible to everyone. Other than that I think it is a great device for people to buy and sell items and it is fun to browse too.

After a rapid check of hotels in Murfreesboro, we settled on the Doubletree because my husband collects Hilton HHonors points, we could get the government rate, and it was next door to shopping and restaurants. Of course, that meant I’d be giving up my car, but after two years of living in Germany where we only had one car, I’m primitive to that.

Location

The Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is located correct off of Interstate 24 at 1850 Old Fort Parkway, which is a busy street that hosts a lot of chain restaurants and big box stores.

The favorable clerk behind the desk had our reservation ready. When my husband asked if she could upgrade us to the executive floor, she was joyful to comply. I don’t even consider she charged us extra for the privilege. She gave us each a warm chocolate chip cookie, then sent us to our room on the fifth floor.

Mmm… cookies

Bill had told me all about Doubletree’s delicious chocolate chip cookies but I’d never had the pleasure of trying one until our trip to Tennessee. They were definitely “off the chain”, big, warm, and gooey, and really nice after a long drive.

The executive floor

Because we had asked for an executive room, we were on the fifth floor. The fifth floor has a small lounge that is open for breakfast in the mornings and hors d’ouerves in the evenings. The food in the lounge is free and there’s also a cramped cash bar where guests can have soft drinks, mixed drinks, wine, or beer.

Our room

I was first to see our room, though it took me several tries to get the door start. For some reason, the electronic lock on our room didn’t function very well and over the course of four days it was rare that we were able to open the door with unprejudiced one swipe. Our room, 529, featured a king sized bed, free Internet, a desk, two telephones, a clock radio, a large television with HBO, and a window that looked out over what appeared to be an endless sea of gas stations, titanic box stores, and fast food restaurants. It was not a very inspiring view, so we kept the curtains drawn for the four nights we were in the hotel.

The bed was very comfortable with crisp white cotton sheets and five fluffy pillows. I would have liked the pillows better if they had been stuffed with down, but I expected they wouldn’t be, so I brought my fill.

There was a small refrigerator and microwave in a puny alcove by the door.

It was outfitted with a generous shower head that offered plenty of hot water and respectable water pressure. Taking a shower was a pleasure, although those who prefer baths might be disappointed.

Other amenities

The Doubletree in Murfreesboro has a small utilize room on the first floor. It includes a treadmill, elliptical, and stationery bike. There are also free weights, medicine balls, and pilates equipment available. If your fitness needs can’t be met by the exercise room, as a Doubletree Murphreesboro guest, you have access to Gold’s Gym, which is located fair across the very busy highway. I didn’t venture there because, frankly, I was a little scared to try to ghastly the street! I didn’t ogle any crosswalks or lights that would help me dodge cars.

If working out in the gym isn’t your thing, you can use Doubletree’s heated indoor/outdoor pool. I opted to exercise the pool during my stay. Since it was January, I didn’t venture to the outdoor half, though I guess it would have been well-behaved enough. I could see the steam rising from it. The pool ranges from 3 to 5 feet deep and is surrounded by comfortable chaise lounges. The hotel staff keeps the site stocked with pool towels, too. Unfortunately, there’s no whirlpool. Otherwise, I probably would have hung out in the pool set a lot more.

The Doubletree has conference rooms for rent. They were well used during our discontinue.

Dining

The Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro has its own restaurant, a sports bar called Fanatics. Bill and I ate dinner there the first night of our halt.

The lounge offers scrambled eggs, home fries, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, and cereal bars.

I had lunch there on our last day and was very satisfied with the food and service. It’s also a great region for an grand margarita!

If you have access to a car, you’ll have your pick of just about anything you could want. In fact, on our last night in Murfreesboro, Bill and I went to a local fine dining establishment called Five Senses that pleasing powerful made up for all the chain restaurants we had endured all week.

Spa

The Doubletree Hotel doesn’t have a spa. However, there is a locally owned spa/salon located honest a short walk away from the hotel. Catwalk Salon & Spa offers a chubby range of salon services as well as massages, nail services, facials, peels, and waxing. I went there on our last full day in Murfreesboro and got a much needed haircut. Catwalk Salon & Spa also sells a fleshy range of beauty products.

I would leave at around 10:00am and come help by 2:00pm. She always got our room cleaned during that timespan and, if she forgot something, like extra toilet paper of a bath mat, she’d always remember to stop by later to drop it off.

I contemplate the breakfast lady in the executive lounge also deserves a yell out. She was clearly a morning person, always friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to see her smiling face in the mornings.

Overall

While I can’t say our stay at the Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro was perfect, we did have a pretty edifying experience. I would recommend it to anyone who has business in Murfreesboro or those who impartial want to come by and see what the town has to offer.
